Just when you thought nobody was looking, there are spectators who are anticipating a fiercely competitive season.
Expectations begin with the former Good Old Days race and the standby favorite Boulevard. There are great racers and good entertainment from first racer to last. You can see the emotion and the riding form of each rider as they put their all in each pedal stroke. At times you can even hear and feel their breathing, labored of course. This is one of the few sports, where one can get a front row seat and not pay a high price for admission. There is something classic, almost eloquent about masters racing. I don't know what it is, but maybe I'll 'get it' with each race watched.
Do not hesititate to show the Socal masters domination at out of county and out of state events (even out of country) And post your war stories here, as some us can't be at all of them, but would love to hear of your adventures.
Bring it on. |
