How do you know when its time to "race" or compete?
Whats good sign to know your ready?
I want to compete so bad, but i dont wanna look all silly.
I feel like all the 18yr old kids are all men hahahahhahaha!

Assuming you already have a decent road bike,

Read everything you can about it.

Join a good club that offers race clinics etc. and is supportive of new riders

Start doing group rides to get the feel of riding in a pack and become familiar with the riding skills needed to ride/race in a pack safely.

Understand the value of focused training and recovery.

Buy a racing license and enter a race.
