I have received several proposals for the SCNCA CX Championships. Two of them would be somewhere between LA and San Diego and would be held before CX Nats. The third proposal would be in Bakersfield over a two day weekend (Jan 3/4).
The Bakersfield proposal has a "twist" to it. Saturday would be an open event. Sunday would be a true state championship that would have both SCNCA and NCNCA riders competing for the title. Options would be either a single champ or an overall champ as well as NCNCA and SCNCA champs going to the first NCNCA and SCNCA riders across the line.
What are your thoughts? |

| I think more socal racers live south of Ventura county. Thus just do a SCNCA champs in LA SD area. Bakersfield weekend was fun but too much driving from OC. |

But it there is no Bakersfield race I won't get to go back to Buck Owen's Crystal Palace and get mistaken for being from Sweden along with my Bearclaw brethren!
Seriously though, January is getting awfully close to road season. I vote for before nats. |

This post is missing a lot of info...Here is the rest of the story:
My bako race is being proposed NOT as the district champs. I think Nor Cal and So Cal need to do their own respective DISTRICT champs before natz as usual.
My proposal is a no holes barred, $6000 prize list FULL state champs race weekend. For fun, prizes and bragging rights. North vs. South seperated by district. I do want to do jerseys and declare a state champ for the categories we have AND take all the points for every race, add them up and see who had the best overall, North or South.
Kinda like the amazing series in the Pac.Northwest with Seattle and Portland. Fun fun fun
I believe Natz will move to Jan. next year? Could be wrong....anyway, I am willing to do this and get the ball rolling and have Jan. 2009 be a starter year.
