Now that everyone has been racing for a few months, what has been your favorite race so far this year? And why?
What makes a race good in your mind? |

El Cajon! The more technical the better. It was also a great precursor to Barrio.
Too bad the field was small, but Since I moved here, I noticed people are afraid of crits with real corners......
Barrio, though it hasn't happen yet has always been my favorite. I used to drive from AZ to do this race every year cause I love the corners!!! |

BMB, does that mean you'll be teaching a cornering clinic as part of the WCC soon?
My favorite so far this year has been San Dimas. Even though climbing is not my strength, the race was well organized, the women's 3/4 field was very strong and all the courses were great - especially the RR! |

Brea, I loved the new course. and so far it was the only race i felt 1/2 way good. It has been all down hill since then.
Anyon got an extra dose or two of epo??? |

| I wont count Sea Otters Circuit since no one can touch a closed race course with a nice hill in it. Conquer's road course was out of control fun. That hill also made for great viewing, it was long, broke up the fields and just worked a person over! |

san dimas was great all round
mclane road race this year 35+ cat - the way racing should be hard from the start and hard tough racing the whole way with no silly team tactics mesing the race up - 15 men in the break and every one of them riding to try and win
for crits Brea'sew circuit was fun and so too was the mclane down town crit |

San Dimas was great. Love the course and they do a great job putting the race on.
The RR at Conquer the Canyons was great too. Until I imploded on the last lap of the race.
The best race for me on the calendar is the State RR Champs. |

| state rr would be even better if more riders would do it.... the fields last year really sucked for numbers. even the 1,2 race was less than 30 riders |

Definately not Brea worst crash for me....
I think that Garret Lemire was a pretty good race. A little climb, a little descent, you had to be on it the whole time...
The most memorable race.....Sea Otter RR. I think that has been the hardest race of my life...cycling life...I remember sitting down and looking in my friends faces and we were all thinking the same thing....I will never race again and we were serious, but of course we already have plans to attend next years event....

| +1 on Sea Otter RR. That was a hard race, hopefully it worked well as training ride for Devils Punchbowl. Ojai is proably my next favorite, so far. |

scottie.....i agree with that, but there are not too many guys that want to race hard over 75 miles in the hills and wind. That is why I think I like that race so much. There is no hiding there. If you are not good you are not going to win. The wind last year was rediculous. it is a hard race. My opinion is, if you are going to be the State RR Champ the race should be that hard, and you will never have big fields for a race like that. Too bad teams don't show up to really help their guy who can win (I am calling out my team). Hopefully this year the team will show up. Last year they were awesome, hope we can do it again this year.
Really looking forward to the CBR Camp Pendalton RR too. West LA College is another great race. |

I teach cornering clinics here all the time for free.
I will gladly school anyone who wants to learn how to corner and be safe, male or female.
I am not in charge of clinics, but if people are interested before Barrio, I will be there before the women's 3 and women's 4 race! |

I enjoyed the Garrett Lemire race, as a spectator. The course was really pretty, it was in a cool atmosphere, and had a nice crowd.
If I was still racing I would have liked this course alot. You can't fake it on this type of course with the hill and turns.
The new Brea course and Ventura Classic course looked really fun too. |
